With Breath of the Wild’s DLC Pack 1 on the horizon, Nintendo has detailed all of the contents players can expect from the first pack. Perhaps the biggest edition will be the Trial of the Sword; a wave-based enemy gauntlet with at least 45 floors of challenges. At the beginning of the trial, Link will be defenseless, so he’ll have to fight his way to the top using whatever he can scrounge up.
Additionally, Hero’s Path Mode will be added to the game. This handy map feature will allow players to see where Link has traveled in the last 200 hours of gameplay. Finding untouched areas of the map will now be much more easier to discover!
Hard Mode is also on the way and will surely be ultimate challenge for Zelda fans. Over time enemies will gradually regain health and each enemy will be one level higher than they were in Normal Mode (ex. Red Bokoblins are now Blue). Are you up to the challenge?
The last gameplay addition is the Travel Medallion. After finding the Travel Medallion in a chest somewhere in the world, Link can set his current position as a fast travel point. Traverse the world however you’d like, but be weary that the Travel Medallion can only save on travel point at a time!
8 new costumes are on the way too, allowing Link to dress as characters from Zelda history. The Korok Mask will shake when Link is near a hidden Korok, so be sure to slap it on when hunting for the little guys!
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC Pack 1 is planned to release this Summer on Nintendo Switch & Wii U.
