Up To 8 Accounts Can Be Made On Nintendo Switch; Region Is Based On Account Settings

A new piece of information about the Nintendo Switch has come from Kotaku, who recently sent some questions to Nintendo. One of these was about whether or not the system’s online store would be region-free. In response, Nintendo revealed that the Switch can have up to eight accounts and that the region associated to each account will in turn determine the eShop’s territory setting.

“The Nintendo Switch system is not region locked, but we recommend that players buy games within their region to ensure full service and support. The user will access the Nintendo eShop that corresponds to the country identified in their Nintendo Account. (Up to eight user accounts can be created on a single Nintendo Switch system.)”
