Tons of new Nintendo Switch rumors are circulating via both Laura Dale and Emily Rogers.
First, Laura Dale has reported that both Skyrim and the 3D Mario game shown in the Switch’s reveal trailer will be available at launch. The Mario game supposedly has a hub world, similar to Super Mario 64, and will also have a co-op option for the main game. As for Skyrim, the game will be in line with the recent remaster, but mod support will come sometime after launch.
Next, Splatoon is planned to be a pack in title for the Switch. This version of the game will contain a new 1v1 mode where players use their own separate Switches, while also being able to change their weapons on the fly. Additional single-player content will be added, along with a string of new free content similar to the original Wii U release.
Finally, Laura reiterates that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will not make the Switch’s launch. This is something that has been making the rounds lately and will also affect the release of the Wii U version.
Now we move onto Emily who has some possible new information on Mario Kart 8 for the Switch, as well as some games that may make their way to the console within the first year.
She states that the Nintendo Switch version of Mario Kart 8 will include all the content from the original game, including the DLC, and more. New tracks, characters, and an overhaul to the battle mode are in the works.
Emily also listed some titles that she’s heard will come to the system within the first year of it being on the market. These include Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart, Splatoon, Pokémon, Pikmin 4, Retro Studios’ game, and a new IP.
Remember to keep in mind that these are all rumors. It all sounds too good to be true but who knows! We’ll find out once and for all at the live Nintendo Switch Presentation on January 12th.
Nintendo Switch launches in March 2017.
