Wii U Production Ends This Friday According To Eurogamer

Eurogamer has received information from multiple sources claiming that the Wii U will be ceasing production this Friday, November 4th. As of September 30th, Nintendo has shipped 13.36 million Wii U consoles. Specific sales numbers are currently unknown. As reference, the Nintendo GameCube sold 21m, the N64 sold 32m, and the Nintendo Wii sold 101m.

Nintendo is currently shifting focus towards their next home console, the Nintendo Switch. New information on the system is set to come during the live Nintendo Switch Presentation on January 12th, 2017.

Nintendo Switch will launch in March 2017.
