A couple new details regarding Pokémon Sun & Moon were revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct!
First up is Alolan Rattata, which is a Normal/Dark-type Pokémon with the abilities Gluttony and Hustle.
To deal with the increasing amount of Rattata in the Alola region, Yungoos were imported to cut down the population. This lead the Rattata to become nocturnal and live in urban environments to avoid Yungoos. Eventually, this is what lead to their change of form.
What was also revealed was exclusive Z-Moves for some Pokémon. In the trailer we can see Alolan Raichu preform a Z-Move called Stoked Sparksurfer and Snorlax perform one called Pulverizing Pancake. These are moves that are only available to these Pokémon and are activated through specific Z-Crystals.
By purchasing Pokémon Sun & Moon before January 11th, 2017, you will receive the offer to add a Munchlax holding a Snorlium Z to your game. Once evolved, Snorlax will be able to use the Snorlium Z to perform the Pulverizing Pancake Z-Move in battle.
That’s all for now but stayed tuned for more Pokémon Sun & Moon information on September 6th!
Pokémon Sun & Moon launch for Nintendo 3DS in North America on November 18th and in Europe on November 23rd.
