Four New Pokémon Revealed In Latest Pokémon Sun & Moon Trailer

The Pokémon Company continues to pump out information about Pokémon Sun & Moon with another new trailer! This time we get a look at four never-before-seen Pokémon.

Crabrawler is a Fighting-type Pokémon with the abilities Hyper Cutter and Iron Fist.

These Pokémon really hate to lose and work hard to get to the top of their social ladder. They also try to stay at the top of very high places; if they are removed from a place they enjoy then they will surely attack using their giant claws.

Crabrawler uses its claws to protect its face and stomach from incoming attacks, much like a boxer. Its punches are strong enough to split tree trunks and it uses its strength in order to knock berries from trees. Surrounding Crabrawler will then gather and battle to decide who gets to keep the berries.

Sandygast and Palossand are Ghost/Ground-type Pokémon with the ability Water Compaction. This new ability raises the defense of a Pokémon by two when they are struck with a Water-type attack.

A Sandygast is formed when the grudges of a Pokémon are soaked into the sand. These possessed sand lumps then go in search of their shovel. When grabbed, Sandygast will take control of the one who touched its shovel. It does this to manipulate children into gathering sand and increasing its body mass. If its shovel is lost, Sandygast will replace it with another item such as a tree branch or a flag.

Its tunnel-like mouth is used to suck the vitality from both people and Pokémon. The people of Alola see it as a “test of courage” to reach your hand into Sandygast’s mouth.

Similar to Sandygast, Palossand controls adults to have them build sandcastles so it can disguise itself and raise its defense. However, Palossand is able to rebuild itself, unlike Sandygast. While searching for prey, Palossand’s shovel will revolve. It’s said that the shovel is then used as a radar.

Palossand feeds on the vitality of small Pokémon and will drag them into its body to steal their life force. When dragged under, Pokémon will leave behind traces of their ill will. This negative energy is said to be the beginning of more Sandygast.

Stufful is a Normal/Fighting-type Pokémon with the abilities Fluffy and Klutz. It’s also the pre-evolution of Bewear.

While Stufful may look extremely cute, it actually has extreme strength. An unexpected attack from Stufful is strong enough to take down even well-trained Pokémon!

However, Stufful doesn’t enjoy being touched at all. It flails its arms in protest whenever its uncomfortable, such as when its receiving tight hugs.

Pokémon Sun & Moon launch for Nintendo 3DS in North America on November 18th and in Europe on November 23rd.
