Details on Pokémon GO’s global launch and future content updates have been touched upon by Niantic. In terms out releasing in different countries, Niantic has stated that they have decided to hold on a global launch until the server issues are fixed. At the moment, Pokémon GO is only available in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.
Niantic also talked about future content updates headed to the game. New features coming soon include new ways to interact with PokéStops and Gyms, more customization, a global leadership scoreboard, and an improvement to the augmented reality. It was said that Pokémon GO could also appear on dedicated AR devices down the line, such as Google Glass and Microsoft Hololens.
Pokémon GO has been a major success so far, and while the entire world can’t enjoy it yet, it definitely has a bright future ahead of it.
