Developer of Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles X, Monolith Soft have been confirmed to be helping out with the development of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Monolith have helped with other Nintendo games in the past, and with their knowledge of open-world games it definitely makes sense to have them help with the project.
Mr. Miyamoto had this to say about Monolith’s inclusion during an interview at E3:
“Yes they are involved in this Zelda. People from Tokyo and Kyoto are working together on this. There is a team of over 100 helping work on this project, and their work has really been helpful.”
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is set to release in 2017 for the Wii U & Nintendo NX. If you haven’t heard much about the game or just want a refresher, then check out my roundup article here.
